1997 Ford Windstar Transmission

Trans was just rebuild by PRO. Taken out and installed by Friend & Myself. Problem to start with was trans would not shift into second gear.1st gear approx 10-15 mph then shift right into Neutral. Would have to manually pull gear shift level down into 2nd. Once in that gear car would travel about 30mph and never shift. AFTER having trans rebuild it still does the same exact thing. IS it the computer? What? WAS Diagnost BY AAMCO as BAD TRANS and would cost in ascess of $2,000.00 to repair. That is why Friend & I did the labor. Help! :( ? :X

WELL after replaced the rebuild trans with an REBUILD trans it is now shifting correctly once again. Fellow said he must of missed something when he rebuild the 1st trans, what it was he couldn't say. Just must of missed something and had NO idea what!
