The transmission in my 96 Windstar started slipping. The light in the overdrive control switch on the end of the gearshift started blinking. Then transmission would not engage any more. I got a trouble code that said the vehicle speed sensor was bad. I replaced the speed sensor but that did not fix the problem. The van goes into reverse just fine, but it will not go into any forward gear at all. Getting no trouble codes at all now. Any suggestions?

unfortunately transmission has internal problems and will need a overhaul.
