Engine Performance problem
1996 Ford Windstar 6 cyl
----------------------------------------------------------------
my codes came up as 1137,1138,and 1157 all of which are the bank1 and bank 2 sensors ...do you have to change both of them or can you change one and the check engine light will go off or not?

Hello,

Ok, since they on on opposite sides you will have to replace both...

The location of the sensor below is on passenger side and the 2nd sensor front the engine.

P1137 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Signal Intermittent (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

P1138 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

The location for the below sensor is on the drivers side 2nd sensor from the engine

P1157 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit High Voltage (Bank 2 Sensor 2)

And you will possibly have to have the engine light turned off. They sometimes won't go out on there own and some will go out after driving a few hundred miles.
