1992 Ford Club Van odometer Died

Looking for info about speed sensor for a 1992 3/4 ton van 5.8L w/ AOD trans. Starts and drives. Doesn't shift well and the odometer/ speedometer quit working at the same time. Looked at trans cannot find speed sensor. Their is a blank plug in tailcone of trans where I thought speed sensor would be. Any info would be appreciated.

Some have the speed sensor on the rear differential.

Any ideas where to look? All That I found on the differential was the ABS sensor for the rear, replaced it no JOY
