Hi,
I removed the mode-door motor, cam plate and cam, to lube the cam. When I put it back together, I don’t think I had the cam in the correct position and powered the climate control. When the motor wouldn’t turn, I took it apart again and energized the motor. You’ll notice in the TCB it says to "Do Not Energize the Mode Door Motor Without It Being Connected". So, that is what I accidentally did and now the gear from the motor will not fit into the cam. How can I fix this?

You can remove the cover of the blend door actuator and reposition the gear to fit the blend door pivot or reconnect the blend door actuator and turn the key on to work the HVAC control to see if you can get it to move then unplug it when it is in the correct position. Also, I have included how to change the mode actuator so you can see how the job is done. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Hi Ken,

I am happy to say the advice you gave solved my issue. I decided to take the face plate off the actuator and manually reposition the gear. Operates normally now. Can’t thank you enough.
Cheers
