1999 Ford Truck Multiple cylinder misfire?

I have a 1999 F150 4wd, V8. I have been getting a variety of cylinder misfire codes on my OBD2 scanner. I have changed plugs, and even swaped coils around. Nothing seems to help.
Also my motor chugs at around 2000 rpm, when it's under a load (accelerating) it seems to run like a champ.
Any suggestions?

Try removing and cleaning/replacing CKP this sends firing signals to each cylinder if dirty or worn can cause misfire?

CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR
NOTE:Engine front cover design precisely locates CKP sensor. No CKP sensor adjustment is necessary.

Removal & Installation
Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle. Unplug Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor wire connector from engine harness. See Fig. 1. Remove CKP sensor mounting screws. Remove CKP sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure.
