1998 Ford Truck electrical problem

sometime different things work and other times they dont, for example the windows wont work, the transmission wont shift , the door locks dont work, the speedometer doesnt work and then everything works. what do I need to look for ??? Thanks

As far as the speedometer and shifting, I'd check the vehicle speed sensor, left rear of tranny.
