Transmission problem
1972 Ford Torino V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I put lincoln 89 302 in it it had a truck trans. it the car when got it the starter want engae what do i need to do to make it work. Thanks

if you have the transmission pan on it, manually check to see i the starter gear even hits the flywhell. Make sure to do this with the attery disconnected. You may have the wrong flywheel in it or the teeth are worn off and you need to replace the teeth on the flywheel.
