Hooked up OBDII code reader to the plug on the driver's side of the dash. It cannot connect to the computer and extract codes. Any ideas?

are you plugging it up and then turning the ignition to the on position? then press read/extract codes.

Yes I beleive we are hooking the code reader up correctly. Three of us tried to get it to work and we used two different code readers.

either the plug where you hooked the obd scanner to is bad. or the computer itself is bad. be sure, you are connecting to the correct diagnostic connector, there should be a couple of different ones, that is the same size but for different computers
