1997 Ford Thunderbird no brake lights

ok i have a 1997 ford thunderbird and i for some reason i have no brake lights but when i put in new fuses they blow right off the bat and i have no hazard lights. today i bought a brake switch because i looked at my old one and it was wore out. well i put that in and the fuse blew again. what do you think it could be?

Fuse blows as you replace it or after u step on the brakes
Check for a short to ground in the circuit
