1997 Ford Thunderbird V8 Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 175000 miles

1997 Ford Thunderbird. When driving, the car jerks everytime it changes gears. It also idles rough. I went to get a diagnostics check and they recommended a full tune-up to replace spark plugs and wires at $400; replace both O2 sensors at 199.99 each. Transmission filter and fluid exchange at 238.94. Power steering fluid flush at 69.99, and brake fluid service at 59.99. Now is this all necessary for what the problem of the car is? He showed me damaged wires, so I realize I do need a tune-up, but the price is so high, I'm thinking about doing everything myself, but it will be my first time.

Yes the prices are high. Especially the tranny service!
400.00 for plugs and wires? Go get another opinion. Tune up is the place to start, is the check engine light on? Any codes? If not why do they want to replace the 02 sensors? Forget the tranny and power steering service, A tranny flush at a reputable shop is about 125.00.
A good tune up is the place to start, Replace plugs, wires Fuel filter oil and filter air filter and PCV. Then see how it is.
