My 96 Ford thunderbird, had recently broke down(lost power to engine and unable to turn over after that) took it to a mechanic and he said it was the fuel pump so he switched that out but my car still randomly will shut off. Power stays on but the motor dies. Also everytime this happens the fuse for my ECM I believe its called blows. I've been fold it could be a short circuit some where along the line but that its almost impossible to find. Any suggestions?

The fuse issue is caused by a short. Yes, they can be hard to find, but not impossible. Follow the power supply from the fuse itself. Check for skinned or damaged wires. If all is good, you should have the PCM itself checked for internal shorts.
