Electrical problem
1995 Ford Thunderbird V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 200k miles

interior lights stay on. I tried various combinations of opening and closing the doors with ignition on and off. There was a damaged driver door on off button which I replaced with a new one. No luck so far. Thanks in advance for any"most likely" solutions.

Hello –

To better assist you is your model the LX or Super Coupe? Also what is your engine size in liter?

Next, you said you did not have this problem until you replaced the button on the drivers side?

What caused you to replace it in the first place???

When you disconnect the connector on the plug and close the door….does the light stay on then?
