Car is very well maintained. A sudden problem developed this week. The car starts easily, and idles well at 1000 RPM. The engine RPMs then drop off suddenly when the gear iis shifted into either drive or reverse and the accelerator pushed down. The engine revs ell when left in park and the accelerator is pushed down. I had a new transmission placed in 18 months ago and all has worked well. I had a IAC valve installed this week; but e the problem.

After stalling out, the engine cranks excesively and finally turns over. After the car runs and warms up, there is no problemin restarting while the engine is warm.
