What to check next

Diagnostic guidance. Suggested checks and possible repairs are separate from the owner's reported results.

Clarify whether the alternator was replaced and whether the warning light and gauge returned to normal. Provide any existing findings for the separate door problem.

Discussion summary

1995 ford thunderbird

The owner of a 1995 Ford Thunderbird reported a battery warning light and a charge gauge near the red, while the engine remained running at stops. The owner later said the problem turned out to be the alternator, then raised a separate problem with a sagging driver’s door.

Reported outcome: The owner identified the alternator but did not explicitly report a completed replacement or restored charging. The door problem remained unresolved.

No diagnostic findings or post-repair charging results were supplied. The later door complaint does not establish whether the charging problem was resolved.
