Engine Mechanical problem
1994 Ford Thunderbird 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Is there a simpler procedure to torque 3.8 ltr. V-6 heads in a 94 Thunderbird than what Chiltons manual instructs. Using this method I can't get a true seal of the heads and end up with water in the #2 cylinder and car running hot with no compression.
