I have a 1993 LX Thunderbird. Ever since I have owned the car it always had some funny electric problems. Mainly the radio clock goes off and on intermittantly. But within the last 6 months or so the air conditioning and heat has been intermittant. Now the car actually heats and cools the air but it isn't being blown out of the vents. I have the electronic climate control system, and when I turn the dial (from auto to high or vice versus) I hear a click in the glove compartment. Sometimes I hear some noises going on behind the dash that seems like its starting but it just dies down after a few seconds. Does this sound like the motor is going or is it something with the electrical wiring? So far I have checked the fuses and cleaned and re-connected my battery terminals. Should I go spend the $50 a new blower motor or do you think it could be something else? I also want to mention that I had a pretty big tuneup done about 9 months ago.

Sounds like a stripped gear in the blend door actuator. Replace the actuator, it isn't opening the doors to allow the air circulation.
