Just noticed that my oil light is coming on. The oil level was fine. The idiot light does not come on after the car has sat all night. I started it Saturday morning with no light iluminating. After I drive it around the neighborhood the light will come back on. However, as you give the t-bird some gas the light goes out. After removing your foot from the gas the light comes back on. I have been told that the oil sending unit may be bad. I think it is near my oil filter somewhere. What is the labor hours on installing a new oil pump. I beliveve just to remove the oil pan is 3 hours labor. I know it is probably the pump. Because when the light comes on I hear some rattling so I quickly shut it down. Now I have a 1991 Ford Shop manual which tells me what needs to be removed. I would like to replace bushings while they have the lower control arms down and the bushings in strut rod. I could care less about the subframe I dont think they have bushings? Basically if you guys could list out what parts I will need besides the oil pump that would be of great service to me. I will buy the Ford parts and have a mechanic up the road install them. I know a new oil pan gasket will also be needed. I just want to have everything I need so the mechanic will not have to order my parts from who knows where.

Sounds like you need lower control arm bushings, strut rod bushings, oil pan gasket, oil pump, motor oil, filter
