The ground wire is located on the block I believe on the left side of the motor next to the motor mount. Just need to make sure that its tight and not damaged.

In my opinion it sounds like you have an alternator problem or a bad bettery, possibly even a bad connection at the batter post. Hve the battery tested (do you own a multimeter) if the batter passes have the alternator removed and taken to a auto parts store to be tested.
