I have a 1988 Ford Tempo and have been having a problem with the headlights. The turn signals and brake lights work fine but the headlights won't turn on. Every now and then they turn on out of nowhere. I checked the fuses and they are ok. The battery clamps and wires look corroded. Could this be the problem? I dont have a problem with anything else electrical. Another problem is the winshield wiper broke right off and I can't get it out. What can i do?

Get the battery posts and clams cleaned, however, if the car is working, then the headlights are another issue.
Check for good grounds from the headlamps.
Also, check for a fuse box under the hood and check the fuses there too.
If those fail, you either have a bad headlamp or dimmer switch.

Good luck.
