1984 ford tempo. Mileage is unkown as it displays only 45,000 km's but not the hundred thousand mark.
I had oil on the tappet cover. I changed the pcv, still oil, changed valve cover gasket, still oil, changed oil cap, till oil coming out of oil cap. Checked and blew through line from pcv, checked and blew thru line from oil cap to air. I then opened air filter and found oil everywhere in air intake?
could there be another hose that is blocked? I am not a mechanic, so please explain in easy terms.

Geez, I haven't looked at an older car in a while, is that a throttle body with seperate airbox? Usually, oil in the air box is a sign of a constricted pcv system, I had an 87 Taurus, it had a hose from the airbox to a filter cap on top of the valve cover, that cap had a mesh filter in it. I don't believe there's a mutitude of lines on the earlier cars, is there a good vacuum pull on the pcv valve? A good noticeable suction?

I found out I had a "Blow By" which they tell me that a piston or two have rings broken and have to be replaced. Darn. Thank you for your reply, it took me a while because I don't have the internet at home. Thanks anyway.
