2004 Ford Taurus blown head gasket?

a mechanic says that we may need a new head gasket or an engine replacement due to loss of fluid loss at high accelrlation. there is no loss of power, the idle is good and also smooth, no fluid in the oil and no oil in the antifreeze. do you think that this is a correct diagnosis? we have replaced the radiator cap three times.

The best way to tell is to have it block and pressure tested.
