1994 Ford Tempo Loud exhaust leak, no power

on the highway, started hearing loud noise, like an exhaust leak. then lost power, car idles fine, but when gas is applied it starts the noise and stuttering. replaced cap, rotor, plugs and wires.

did you fix the loud noise? if it's close enough to cylinder head it will definately cause missfire because a sufficient amount of constant backpressure is required to insure proper combustion. if you could enrichen the mixture that would compensate for the bad leak.
