I am getting ready to replace by sight (ie. I will look at old parts and replace new ones accordingly)
a distiributor cap and wires on a 1994 Ford Tempo - the neighbor who was going to do it broke his arm. Do you have any cautions or tips before I sart? All I have ever done before on a car is change the oil and filter ( & not this car)

should be easy and straight forward. you may want to place new wires on new cap and then exchange 1 old wire at time and then replace old cap. sometimes the screws can be rusted and bust. be careful. use WD40 and work back and forth easy if they seem too tight.
