Engine Performance problem
1993 Ford Tempo 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

When you first start the car it idles very rough and sometimes it dies. As soon as you take it off of idle it runs very smooth. After it warms up it it idles somewhat better but still rough and the RPMs will go up and down on their own. All of the spark plugs have fire and I replaced a faulty wire. Did a compression test and had ~150 in each cylinder. Maybe it is a fuel injector or the computer?

I would check EGR operation . If there is gas leaking past valve in cold or hot idle the engine will run rough flucuate. Try removing and cleaning ports and pential.
