1992 Ford Tempo Gas gauge no longer works

The fuel pump went out on my '92 Tempo. I took it to a mechanic and he replaced the fuel pump but the fuel gauge no longer works. I replace the sending unit in the tank but it still doesn't work. What's wrong?

did u check the floater?if all good then you need to get the whole dash cluster.just go to a junkyard and u will find a car like that.change the cluster.dont try and change just the fuel guage it wont work .change cluster.not expensive and not hard to install
