1992 Ford Tempo Gas gauge no longer works

The fuel pump went out on my '92 Tempo. I took it to a mechanic and he replaced the fuel pump but the fuel gauge no longer works. I replace the sending unit in the tank but it still doesn't work. What's wrong?

Did u check the floater?If all good then you need to get the whole dash cluster. Just go to a junkyard and u will find a car like that. Change the cluster. Dont try and change just the fuel guage it wont work. Change cluster. Not expensive and not hard to install
