Tempo has new alternator and new battery. The old alt tested at only 7 amps so it was replaced. Car ran good for a few days but died again and the amp light came on. Car can be boosted off and will run a while then shut down electrically, * dim lights then radio dies etc* Also, now for some reason when you step on the brake the radio quits.

boost and get car started. check voltage at battery posts. should be 14 to 15 volts. if 12 or lower volts your alternator is not charging battery. have it tested again. also sounds like a wiring or connection problem somewhere. maybe your battery ground to body/frame is corroded/disconnected.
