1991 Ford Tempo power seat belts

1991 Ford Tempo 27000 miles

driver side power seat belt doent work and when driver side door opens and closes it growles for about 60 sec, would like to know is there a fuse I can disconnect so it wont run down my battery, I really dont care if seat belt work r not. R do I have to fix the problem and if so how do I fix it. Thanks kathleen

Does the other side work? If you pull a fuse, that 1 will stop working also. Sounds like the 'plastic drive belt' is stripped. To stop motor noise I removed plastic panels below door post and pulled plug on motor. You can do a search of this forum to find many other posts about this problem. You can google the problem also.
