Engine Mechanical problem
1991 Ford Tempo 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 100k miles

i replaced the distributor module a few weeks ago..and it ran fine... but just recently the owner of the car was driving it..it shut down, he restarted it...he said it ran rough for about a quarter mile..then quit, and did'nt start at all..... i changed the spark plugs, and checked for spark with a tester, but it was'nt showing it was getting any....like i said i replaced the distributor module...turns over.. but doesn't start at all.....it needs a new battery for sure... i got it checked, and the guy said that it has enough juice to get the car started though....and also.. when it does turn over... theres like a sound coming out of the throttle body..it kind of spits air into the filter.. but it's just like one "pop" of air...kind of sounds like it's clogged or something....i was thinking it is out of time?....the check engine light is on too.
