belt keeps breaking off

I have replaced my alternator belt four times and the alternator. The belt still keeps breaking off. it takes about a week and then I need to buy a new one. what is going on?

yes, they can be a problem! does your alternator belt go from the power steering pump to the alternator? short small belt? you need to watch the power steering pump pulley to make sure its running without a wobble! ford made a bad design mistake here. buy the BEST QUALITY belt you can. and dont overtighten it! that solved my issue of short term wear out!
