Steering problem
1986 Ford Tempo Two Wheel Drive Automatic 100000 miles

steering wheel has recently become loose,took column apart but cannot find a way to tighten it

you got an old one there! i just took apart an 88-89 and it was quite easy! that is if we are talking TILT WHEEL!a couple bolts to tighten up! they are pointing right and left when you are behind the wheel! if it's NOT tilt wheel then it's probably bearing related? are you just saying the steering WHEEL is wobbly and not the actual car behavior?
