Possible water damage!

I drove my car through some flooded roads last night, it died after coming out of one rather large one. I picked it up today as there is a loud metal clanging sound. This disapears when accelerating. As soon as its idiling it starts agin and is very loud. Help did I ruin my Ford Taurus wagon?

Im no expert but my truck rattles to at stop signs. Check out your catalytic converter heatshield to see if its on there tight. It will vibrate and clang if its not, similar to what you're experiencing.
