hello, I drove my car through a creek. It is a 98 ford taurus, with a v6 and 137,000 miles on it. I was driving down a county road and it goes through a creek so i didnt think it was that deep. Water came up onto my hood and my car stalled out once i got to the other side. After a couple of minutes i got it started. It sputtered for about a minute while i was trying to drive it, and then it started to drive ok. I drove it home and it drove fine except there was a cliking noise. It clicks when it idles and its gets faster as i accelerate. It sounds like it might be coming from my alternator but im not sure. Do you have any suggestions?
