I have a 2001 Taurus with 71000 miles, Vulcan engine. The check engine light is on with a code 460, fuel level sensor malfunction. I have replaced the fuel pump/sending unit. The light came back on. What should I check next?

Is the code the same as it was before?

Was that the only reason you replaced those parts?
Does your gauge read right?

Fuel pump to fuel gauge circuit fuse is good?

Yes the code is the same as before. I replaced the parts on the code. The fuel gauge varies. sometimes below empty, sometimes above full and everything in between.
