Have a 98 Taurus - 168K miles - runs great BUT was experiencing some coolent loss about once every 2 weeks - so I have been adding coolent when the light would come on - Yesterday, I added some Radiator leak stop (small can) followed the directions. Anyways, I barely made it home from the walmart parking lot where I added the stuff - the car started to overheat / I had no heat in the car / and the temp gauge was off the charts - WHAT HAPPENED? Now the car is giving me a hard time starting! What should I do? Please help asap! Thank you

If you're not actually leaking then your burning it in the combustion chamber-any white looking smoke on the back?

The reason its not starting is the engine is so hot the fuel vaporizing before the sparkplugs will fire it to create combustion. The combustion process is not balance.

Stop leak should never be used IMHO. It may have plugged up the system internally, preventing flow.
