2006 Ford Taurus car died and won't start

Driving down the road car died. We discovered we had a hose leaking we repaired that. The car cranks over but will not start what do we do to get it running? HELP

Is the fuel pump running
when 1st key on listen to the fuel pump to come on in the fuel tank
check fuses
check for fuel
check for spark
let me know what is missing
