2005 Ford Taurus Shifter

I just drove300 miles and pulled into garage. The shifter was stuck in drive and finally came loose and is now "wabbly" and won't go into a gear and engine will not start.

Check above the brake paddle and on the shifter column the link where the shifter cable connect to
if loose and if so have to tighten the two hold down screws
remove one at a time and use thread lock on the bolts
