2005 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I was told my problem I was having could be my ignition switch. is it the same as the key cly?if not where is it? thank you

Ignition Switch and ignition key cylinder two different parts and locations ignition switch located at the steering column about a foot below the ignition key on the steering column look for the wiring good luck
