We start the car and after a minute the battery light goes on saying to check charging system. We bought a new battery and had the alternator tested several times and it is a good alternator. We could not find the regulator; per the manual is should be on the alternator but it wasnt. The battery already was drained once and died on me while in traffic three times yesterday

Hi
Regulator is inside alt. Take car and have the charging system checked. If alt bench tests good then maybe wiring problem. Often times a poor groung cable connection can cause a poor charge.
Let me know test results
