Transmission problem
2004 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Automatic 120000 miles

I stopped for gas and my car was fine. when I went to pull off it started making a humming sound when I accelerated nothing happened. I checked the transmission fluid it was fine. It does not feel like it is clicking into gear (any) however it did go into nuetral because I was able to push it back out the road. It cranks fine runs fine just wont move and making a weird humming noise. there was no sign of transmission trouble before this happened could it be some type of sensor or relay? hoping its not my transmission gone!
