WHAT DO I NEED TO REPLACE TO TUNE-UP MY FORD TAURUS? THE ONLY THING THAT HAS BEEN REPLACED SINCE IT WAS NEW WAS THE STARTER. I HAVE REPLACED THE AIR FILTER ROUTINELY AND HAVE HAD THE OIL CHANGED EVERY 3000 MILES.

Inspect belts
check and rotate tires
replace tranny filter and fluid
check brakes
check front end, ball joints and tie rods
change oil and filter
check fluids and coolant
check and replace spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, pcv, wires
