2003 Ford Taurus surging idle while stopped in gear

When stopped, like at a stop light, rpm pulses between 500 to 800. If put in park the idle corrects and stabilizes.

Hi, Have the computer checked For Codes First.If No Codes are Found ,Then I'd look For A Vacumn leak.
