So I have a 2003 Ford Taurus Centennial. Nice car. Brand new transmission, tires; everything is good. Unfortunately, it is leaking oil, pretty bad. I have taken it to the mechanic and he replaced an oil pan gasket. Problem not fixed. Took the car back and he resealed it. Problem sitll not fixed. Do you have any idea what the problem could be or what I should do next? Thanks

Hello,

Has the front seal been looked at? If the under side is covered front to back in oil it could be the front seal.

If the under side is covered in oil front the back were the tranny and engine come together then it could be the rear seal leaking.

Also look at the center section of the engine if it is covered then it could be the Vavle Cover Gasket or even a Head Gasket.

the mech should be able to find it, even if he has to put a dye in the oil.
