Electrical problem
2003 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I keep having to replace the alternator.About 2 years ago the mechanic was buying alternators from Napa and they wouldn't work. He finally went to the ford dealer and purchased a new one. It lasted just over a year. Now in the last year another mechanic has put on 3 alternators from napa. He is putting on the 4th one today. I'm at least happy to know that I purchased a life time warranty. Please tell me what is causing them to fail. I'm at a loss and so is the mechanic doing the work...........thanks...

Have them check alt output if it exceeds 15.5V then PCM is demanding full charge and causing alt to fail
