2003 Ford Taurus lifter noise when I start the car.

In the morning when I turn on my car. I hear the lifters for about 1 minute. after that the noise goes away. I was concern about what would cause that noise.

Hi there, these engines are shim adjusted so i would be thinking that it is a slow oil pressure pick up problem, when was the oil & filter last changed and are you using a quality filter with anti drain back valve?
