crankshaft position sensor located

I need to replace the crankshaft position sensor on my 2003 Ford Taurus. I know it should be simple to replace but lack all but the most basic knowledge of vehicle engines. What I need is a diagram or detailed instructions of where the crankshaft position sensor is located on the engine and how to replace it.

where is the crankshaft sensor located

On lower right front of engine

I have a crank sensor issue with my 2002 Taurus, the 8th vin code digit is 2, any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Where do I find it? Do I need a hoist? Can I replace it myself?

Lower right front of the engine and yes, you can replace it yourself. It's usually just bolted in and has a wiring connector that needs to be disconnected.
