In december 07 I had warranty work done on my car. The guy said I should have my brake pads replaced before the next inspection, March 08. They were not squealing at all or giving any problems. My daughter's friend offered to do it for me last week, just had to buy the pads myself (he does his own brakes). I went to Advance Auto - told them the year, make, etc. Got lifetime warranty brake pads for front. He installed them. I later went to drive the car and the metal on metal screaching/grinding that took place when I applied the brakes was deafening!!!. I drove slowly 500 feet, applied brake, same thing. I parked it, left it there and don't know what to do now. Please give advice.
