I'm in the process of installing a new stereo and can't get it to work. On top of this, now my speedometer is malfunctioning, my odometer, tripometer, dome lights, window and lock controls don't work...plus my bright lights indicator stays on and turns off when I actually turn on the brights. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is not my first stereo install, but with that said, it is possible I accidentally had wires crossed...but I did have the negative terminal disconnected during install.

Ok, so I found a bad fuse and that fixed just about everything...except my speedometer and odometer are still not working!

Did you check the underhood fuse box also?

The speedo is electric, controlled by the VSS and pcm. Either the gauge, vehicle speed sensor, or wiring have a problem.
Good luck and lewt us know. :)

It was that fuse...after about a minute of driving everything was working fine again. I actually checked all the underhood fuses first, thinking it was something larger. Thanks for the help though, and I'll probably be back!!
