2002 Ford Taurus windshield wipers

Wipers only worked in fast of slow position no intermittent function. When shut off they would stop wherever. Until they finally stopped completely.
replaced motor with no luck. Suspect swich or control module but have no idea how to check or even where the module is.

Check out the wiper relays first. You have 2, both located in the battery junction box (front center of engine compartment, behind radiator). Should be labeled Wiper Hi/Lo Relay & Wiper Park/Run Relay.
